AYL (TM) Newest Generation Slim Capacitive iPad Stylus with 1 YR Warranty (Spring Pink) Review

Trying to find a decent capacitive stylus has been a right frustrating 3-year task. I've tried just about every type of stylus there is, from the "normal" Boxwave/Pogo rubber-tipped "first-generation" jobs, to the odd and esoteric. The "first generation" rubber-tipped styli (styluses?)I tried were way too "grabby", the "brush" was just . . . strange, and so on, and the quest continued.
I thought I'd found a winner with the Dagi--a flat, clear, round "stylus" with a red dot in the center. But not only was it really way too expensive, it was also fragile and broke within only a couple of weeks. I loved using it while it lasted, though. After it died, I noticed some similarly shaped "GTMax" branded styli--the "point" is still round, but it's an opaque black plastic that seems just a bit softer than the Dagi, and has a much more robust connection to the stylus barrel. It's this GTMax stylus I've been using until I noticed this so-called "newest generation" capacitive stylus.
And so far it really seems to be. It glides smoothly over every device in the household--a 3g and 4g iPod Touch with protective screens, a 4g iPhone, a Droid X, and even works fairly well on a resistive-screened Archos 5 500gb IT. It's almost as precise as the Dagi I liked so much, and maintains excellent contact wherever it is on the screen, however much it moves, and as long as you want to hold it. The only thing I've found that works as well is my greasy finger. Finger's not nearly as precise, though, or I'd just use it, despite the grease.
Now, if the tip doesn't blow off this baby and through my Droid X in the next few days, I'd say I can come back and change that "With" in my review title to "Without". :-)
